Yung Rlo was born Errion Cevon Harley on August 3, 2002, in Chicago, IL, the son of Tina Crump. He has both a younger brother and sister. As a teenager, Rlo attended a Chicago South suburb high school by the name of Rich South High School. He started his first breakthrough on social media channels like Instagram and YouTube. In addition to YouTube, Yung Rlo is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, and recording artist.

In 2019, Rlo would start taking music seriously, after the releases of his two YouTube videos, “Exposing Myself Prank On Brother Backfires” and “Killer Clown Showed Up To Hoop”, each of which received over 10,000 views. On August 30, 2019, Rlo released his first single “So Sick. “As of September 15, 2020, the single has been streamed over 3,500 times on YouTube. The Chicago native and recording artist currently attend the Musicians Institute in Los Angeles, CA, where he’s studying audio engineering, production, and entrepreneurship.

CAREER
Early in his career, Rlo was heavily involved in the YouTube community. At the age of 15, he created his first YouTube channel and began uploading pranks and skits to his self-titled channel. Shortly after creating his channel, two of his many YouTube prank videos began to gain notable attention online. Combined videos generated over 40,000 views. Subsequently helping attribute to Rlo’s presence on social media which has equally garnered him a spotlight amongst his peers. This eventually led him to create a music channel. During this transition, Rlo began crafting and releasing his own tracks to DSP’s such as Spotify, Apple Music, and Tidal through his “Yung Rlo Entertainment” music publishing company.

Finding himself at a crossroads of pursuing a YouTube career and a passion for music, Chicago-based artist Yung Rlo made the heartfelt decision to pursue music and it has led him to where he is today: an artist inspiring others using the motto, ‘More Than Music’ and became known in the YouTube community as an artist featured on the videos of popular bloggers and personalities. Leading fans to pose the question, “Who is that?” and “Where can I find his music?” This curiosity subsequently led to over 10 thousand followers on Instagram, and over 100 thousand channel views on YouTube. It has also created an unbreakable bond between an artist and his constantly growing fanbase.
