Wyo Chi is a young up-and-coming American rapper from Philadelphia. He acquired fame after his songs “Saucy” and “Hardly” blew up on WorldStarHipHop. He was born on May 18, 2004, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Wyo Chi is of Puerto Rican descent. He grew up with a single mother who supported him every step of the way. He also shared his household with two other brothers who had different fathers. At age 1, his father walked out of his life. Later on, when Wyo Chi started blowing up, he would try to re-enter.

In an interview, Wyo Chi explained how Philly changed over the years. Throughout his childhood, there were not many activities going on. However, as he became a teen, he started witnessing a lot of young people dying. When it comes to academics, he is currently attending public school. However, as high school approaches, to stay focus, he plans on being home-schooled. Despite not being the honor roll student, he claimed some of his teachers began hating after he started blowing up.

Wyo Chi got into rapping after seeing his older “OGs” dropping bars and becoming popular. To some extent, they mentored him and inserted him into the booth. At age 11, prior to rapping, his brothers introduced him to the songs of Meek Mill. He also grew up listening to Lil Uzi Vert and PnB Rock. His stage name was derived from Wyoming, a neighborhood in his hometown, and the movie, Scarface.

CAREER
Wyo Chi’s career officially started in late 2017. New on the scene, he only has a few tracks available. After dropping the remix to Tay-K‘s “The Race,” in October 2017, his career took off. However, it wasn’t until WSHH featured his videos, that he realized the rap thing could actually work. In April 2018, his music video “Saucy” was featured on the popular vlog site. It went viral amassing over 1 million views. On YouTube, it has garnered close to 2 million views. Even on SoundCloud, it stood out among the rest.

“Hardly,” his other hit, uploaded on YouTube courtesy of WSHH, has established over 2 million streams. Poised for success, he continues to wow listeners with fresh tracks. Other standout singles included “Spaceship” (Jul 2018) and “Shine” (Nov 2018). Each has surpassed the 1 million milestone. Throughout his young career, Wyo Chi has received support from artists like Meek Mill, Lil Mosey, and Lil Durk. He also crossed path with YBN Almighty Jay, PnB Rock, Lil Uzi Vert, and Blac Chyna. He is actively searching for a record deal. His music is currently managed by YO-Int.

Wyo Chi’s height is 5ft 1in. His net worth is estimated at $150 Thousand USD. As he got famous, his family’s safety became a concern. He recalled his mother being followed home by a group who were questioning her about him. He eventually met his father when he was older, however, he explained that the relationship could never be the same. He is currently single but points out that girls are approaching him like there is no tomorrow. In an interview, he explained that his model girl should have a fat butt, nice lips, and personality.
