Westside Boogie is an American rapper and songwriter from Compton, California. His discography includes the album, Everythings for Sale (2019), and the mixtapes, The Reach (2015) and Thirst 48 (2014). Boogie is currently signed to Eminem‘s Shady Records and to Interscope Records. He’s being managed by LoveRenaissance (LVRN). Given the name Anthony Dixson, he was born on August 30, 1989, in Compton, California. Boogie grew up in Long Beach, California, with his mother. He attended Long Beach City College.

CAREER
Prior to his rap career, Boogie performed as a member of the First Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church choir. His focus shifted from gospel to rap after he was exposed to gangbanging. The birth of his son, Darius, further fueled his passion for music. Boogie’s debut mixtape, Thirst 48, was released in June 2014. It covered his life and early struggles in the music game. His second tape, The Reach, followed in June 2015. The project included songs like “Wit Me”, “First Evergreen” and “Make Me Over” featuring D’anna Stewart. The non-album single “Oh My” was released in August 2015. It was produced by Jahlil Beats.

In 2015, Westside Boogie signed a recording deal with Interscope Records. His third mixtape, Thirst 48, Pt. II, dropped in October 2016. It was supported by tracks “N!gga Needs”, “Still Thirsty” and “Won’t Be The Same” featuring Ayo. Guest appearances were also made by Grace Weber, Dana Williams, K Camp, and Mozzy. Boogie signed with Eminem’s Shady Records in October 2017. His Shady debut “Violence” with Masego arrived in December 2017. The singles “Deja Vu” and “Self Destruction” were released in 2018.

Everythings for Sale, Boogie’s debut studio album, was released in January 2019 by Shady and Interscope Records. It produced singles “Self Destruction” and “Silent Ride.” The album peaked at #18 on both the Billboard 200 and Top Rap Albums chart. Guest appearances were made by Eminem, J.I.D, 6lack, Snoh Aalegra and Christian Scott. The video for Boogie’s “Rainy Days” single with Eminem premiered in February 2019. It racked up 17+ million views in 2 months.
