ORIGIN
SoFaygo is an American hip-hop rapper/vocalist from Atlanta, Georgia. His breakout single “Knock Knock” went viral on TikTok and would later rack up millions of streams on Spotify. He’s worked closely with rapper/producer Lil Tecca. SoFaygo’s discography includes War (2019), Angelic 7 (2020), and After Me (2020). He’s currently signed to Travis Scott‘s Cactus Jack Records.

SoFaygo was born Andre Dontrel Burt on October 3, 2001, in Atlanta, Georgia. Growing up, his parents struggled to put food on the table. He’s also had to move between homes a few times. His breakout song was actually recorded while he was spending time with his grandmother. Like many before him, Burt got the ball rolling by putting in work on SoundCloud. He also had early success using the video-sharing app Triller. After high school, the aspiring MC decided to pursue music wholeheartedly for a year and if that didn’t work out, he would head off to college. Now with millions of streams across all major platforms, it’s safe to say his decision paid off.

CAREER
Faygo’s breakout track “Knock Knock” was released on August 4, 2019. It was produced by Lil Tecca. Thanks to heavy rotation on TikTok, the track now has upwards of 55 million streams on Spotify. The much-anticipated visuals for Knock Knock premiered on YouTube on May 3, 2021. It was directed by Cole Bennett of Lyrical Lemonade. The Beetlejuice-inspired video was well-received by fans.

Before Knock Knock, SoFaygo released Goonland (2018), We Are Aliens (2018), Delineation (2019), and War (2019). His final project of 2019 was titled ‘Hostility.’ It was led by the song “Quit Smoking Dabs.” To start 2020, SoFaygo released his 5th EP, Angelic 7. It was supported by the songs “Knock Knock”, “Hearse” and “Let the Girls Slay.” The project was removed from the SoundCloud platform after some time. SoFaygo’s other 2020 releases include ‘The Reveal (Vol. 1)’, ‘4U’, ‘WEB’ and ‘After Me.’ The latter was spearheaded by the songs “Everyday”, “Off the Map” and “Chrome.”

In 2021, SoFaygo released “Energy” followed by “Til I Die” opposite Rbg Pluto. He was featured on the song “Run It Up” from TyFontaine’s album Ascension (2021). In April 2021, SoFaygo signed to Travis Scott’s Cactus Jack Records. The label is home to Don Toliver, WondaGurl, and Sheck Wes. His debut studio album ‘Pink Heartz’ is scheduled for 2021.

SoFaygo’s net worth is estimated at USD 500 thousand. His height is under review. Burt used the moniker “Trillanese” before settling on “SoFaygo.” The name change occurred at the start of his underground phase. Burt’s list of influences includes Drake, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Chief Keef, Lil Uzi Vert, and Playboi Carti. Aside from music, his passion also includes dancing and acting.
