Ross Mathews is an American television personality and actor. He’s best known as “Ross the Intern” from The Tonight Show with Jay Leno. His television credits include Celebrity Fit Club, Celebrity Big Brother, RuPaul’s Drag Race, and Hollywood Today Live. Mathews was born on September 24, 1979, in Mount Vernon, Washington. He completed his BA degree in communications at the University of La Verne in (2002). He was involved in speech/debate competitions during college.

CAREER
Mathews began his television career in 2001. He started out as an intern/correspondent for The Tonight Show starring Jay Leno. During his tenure, he covered events like the Winter Olympics and the Academy Awards. He had a recurring role as “Chris” in the soap opera Days of Our Lives (2004-11). Mathews was a contestant on the fifth season of Celebrity Fit Club. He won the top prize after losing 40 pounds on the show. Next, he served as a panelist on the E! late-night talk show Chelsea Lately (2007-14). He made several guest appearances on The View from 2007 to 2-14. Mathews appeared on the NBC game show 1 vs. 100 (2008), and was a correspondent on the syndicated program The Insider (2009). He replaced Ryan Seacrest on the E! Live from the Red Carpet (2010-17). He covered several events for E!, including the Screen Actors Guild Award, the Emmy Awards, and the Golden Globe Awards.

Mathews hosted the series Hello Ross! (2013-14). He was cast as “MC” in the film, Call Me crazy: A Five Film (2013), starring Sarah Hyland. He also made a cameo in the ABC TV film, Christmas Cupid (2010). Mathews served as a judge on RuPaul’s Drag Race from 2012 to 2018. He was a celebrity player on the syndicated game show Celebrity Name Game (2014-16). His television credits also include Home & Family, Guilty Pleasures, Dinner at Tiffani’s, and Hollywood Today Live. Mathews was cast as a houseguest on the CBS spin-off series Celebrity Big Brother (2018). The celebrity cast include Shannon Elizabeth, Ariadna Gutierrez, and Brandi Glanville. The winner of Celebrity Big Brother will walk away with $250,000 in prize money.
