He performed as the lead singer of the Jackson 5 when he was a child. Michael Jackson started his solo career in 1971 and quickly became a dominant figure with hits like ‘Beat It’ and ‘Billie Jean’. His ‘Thriller’ album of 1982 is the best-selling album of all time with over 65 million copies sold worldwide. He was inducted twice onto the Hollywood Walk of Fame, and twice onto the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He earned a total of 13 Grammy Awards including the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. Michael Jackson had a net worth of $500 million. He died in 2009 and his death was ruled a homicide.
