Stefan Ross (born Alpine, Texas; May 27, 1995) is an American rapper better known by his stage name Lil Conscious. He is well noted for his freestyles “Ashes” and “Bojak,” which debuted on September 11, 2019, on all platforms. Lil Conscious has garnered over 1 million plays with the track Bojak on SoundCloud and earned a gold plaque with his first single “Ashes,” selling over 500,000 copies.

CAREER
In 2013, at age 17, Lil Conscious was a senior attending high school at Sierra Blanca Texas (population 396). Keeping his identity hidden, he released his first mixtape, “Barley Conscious,” and followed up in December of 2014 with another mixtape, “Conscience.” One year later, in December 2015, he dropped “Phase 1,” a compilation of all his freestyles.

In 2016, Lil Conscious removed all of his social media accounts and music from all platforms, due to mental health issues. Throughout his endeavors, he has managed to keep his identity concealed and has the world on its toes, wondering who this creative mind is. In May of 2018, Lil Conscious reactivated his social media accounts and dropped the hit song “Bojak” on SoundCloud, hitting over a million views in the first four months.

In October of 2019, Canadian rapper, Drake, posted a video of himself dancing to one of Lil Conscious’ songs, “Bojak,” which helped him gain popularity despite objections from other rappers. In that same year, Lil Conscious was involved in a deal with OVO Records, due to recognition from Drake, Lil Uzi Vert, Trippie Redd, Diplo, and many other artists.

PERSONAL
In recent Interviews, Lil Conscious explains that his life hasn’t changed much. “The money is great and the friendships I’ve made on the way have been nothing but positive energy.” In his No Jumper interview with Adam22, he explains that he lives a normal life, which includes paying bills, playing video games, and chilling with friends. Aside from making music, he smokes weed and spends quality time with his family. Lil Conscious recently announced that he will be revealing his identity in 2020.
