Laremy Alexander Tunsil is a professional football player currently signed to the Houston Texans. He’s 6ft 5in tall and plays the offensive tackle position. Tunsil was born on August 2, 1994, in Lake City, Florida. He attended Columbia High School where he was competitive in sports like track & field (shot putter) and football. As a football player, he was named All-State offensive lineman two times. He led the football team to the FHSAA Class 6A state quarterfinals during his senior year. Tunsil also competed in the 2013 U.S. Army All-American Bowl which was held at Alamodome in San Antonia, Texas. He was dubbed the best offensive tackle prospect of his class and as a result, he picked up numerous college offers.

CAREER
Tunsil continued his education and football career at the University of Mississippi. He majored in journalism and played three years of college football for the Ole Miss Rebels football team. Tunsil was a true freshman who served as the team starting left tackle. He received SEC All-Freshman and Freshman All-American honors for his rookie season. Tunsil made his Peach Bowl debut as a sophomore but it was cut short after he suffered a fractured leg. He did manage to earn All-SEC honors by the Associated Press. Tunsil competed in the 2016 Sugar Bowl game as a junior. They won over the Oklahoma State Cowboys with a final score of 48 to 20.

Tunsil announced his intention to enter the 2016 NFL draft, thus forgoing his last year of college. He also displayed outstanding performance in the NFL Scouting Combine offensive line drills. Tunsil was selected by the Miami Dolphins with the 13th overall pick in the 2016 NFL draft. He was signed to a 4-year contract valued at $12.45 million. Tunsil was traded to the Houston Texans on August 31, 2019. He inked a 3-year deal with the team on April 18, 2020.
