Keri Hilson is an American singer, songwriter, music producer and actress. Her studio albums include In a Perfect World and No Boy’s Allowed. Her film credits include Think Like a Man and Riddick. Keri Lynn Hilson was born on December 5, 1982 in Decatur, Georgia. She has four siblings, Kye, Kaycee, Kelsee and Kip. Hilson attended Tucker High School in Tucker, Georgia. She continued her education at Oxford College and Emory University.

CAREER
Hilson took piano lessons as a child. She landed her first record deal with the girl group D’Signe at age 14. She later served as songwriter and background vocalist for artists like Kelly Rowland, Usher, Toni Braxton and Ludacris. Hilson was a member of the songwriting and production team, The Clutch. They’ve written popular songs likes “Take Me As I AM” for Mary J. Blige, “Ice Box” for Omarion and “Like a Boy” for Ciara. The Clutch was active from 2004 to 2010.

Hilson signed to Timbaland’s record label, Mosley Music Group, in 2006. She was featured on Timbaland’s 2007 hit single “The Way I Are”. The song sold over 3 million copies and was certified 3× Platinum in the United States. Hilson’s debut studio album, In a Perfect World, was released in March 2009. It peaked at #4 on the Billboard 200 and was led by the singles “Energy”, “Return the Favor” and “Turnin Me On”. Her sophomore album, No Boy’s Allowed, was released in December 2010. Hilson made her feature film debut as “Heather” in the romantic-comedy, Think Like a Man. The film was based on Steve Harvey’s 2009 book Act Like a Lady, Think Like a Man. Hilson’s film credits also include Riddick (2013) with Vin Diesel and Almost Christmas (2016) with Kimberly Elise. She stars as “Billie” in the upcoming television film, The 10th Date.
