ORIGIN
Jamarian Jackson, also known as JDI-Jay, was born in the USA. He is the only boy within the household, with three sisters and supporting parents. At the age of 11, JDI was introduced to the musical world. Fooling around with a beat, JDI quickly started jotting down words to match the flow. After recording and releasing a song on YouTube in 2016, JDI became very confident in himself; he liked the way he sounded over the beat. Unfortunately, he had to put his music on pause to focus on his academic studies. A few years later, after enduring various life lessons, JDI had all these different emotions stored. To express his sentiments, he used music therapeutically to vent his personal feelings. This led to his quick rise on SoundCloud in 2019.

CAREER
JDI released his first song on July 11th, 2016 on the entertainment platform, YouTube. After being inspired by musical artists like; Xxxtentacion, NLE Choppa, and Ski Mask The Slump God, he has been laser-focused on being the best possible artist; a lifelong dream of his.

After releasing his hit song “Static” on SoundCloud in early 2019, accumulating 500 plays within a week, JDI realized that age was just a number; he did not have to be older to become a rapper. With NLE Choppa being only 16 and killing the game, not only does he inspire JDI, but he also has become the young rapper’s role model. He is also collaborating with music artists like Osiris, Key P, and Yung Wunda.

PERSONAL
JDI-Jay lives within a household of six members. In addition to himself, there are three sisters plus his mother and father. In his spare time, he participates in various basketball leagues, competing with young men his age. JDI-Jay also maintains a YouTube channel called, “JDI-Jay.” The channel houses over 100 subscribers. His body displays a Nike swoosh tattoo on the left side of his chest.
