George “GStar” was born on November 22, 1992, in Queens, New York, where he grew up in one of the most dangerous tenement housing projects in the United States. His surroundings impacted his upbringing and ultimately produced some troubling years where he was involved in street fighting and criminal mischief. He was eventually expelled from school and spent some time in a juvenile detention facility. Gstar was raised by a single mother who worked multiple jobs to support the family. Despite his difficult childhood, Gstar went on to become a millionaire by the age of 23. To reach his current status, he began with a recycling and garbage collection company and worked in motor recycling throughout the U.S. and Russia.
