Djestice is a rapper, producer, singer, and songwriter. He’s known for songs like “Tell me” and “STABBED!” and for his mixtape Unstable (2019) that reached 1+ million streams on major platforms. He’s also done charity on social media. Djestice was born Djestice Kissinger Da Costa on January 12, 1998, in Trappes, Yvelines. He first set foot on American soil at age 10. Da Costa’s parents separated when he was 5 and his grandfather and grandmother passed away when he was 7 and 11 respectively. He has 2 older brothers and 2 older sisters. Da Costa was almost kicked out of the 8th grade after he brought a weapon to school. He was ultimately kicked out of the 11th and had to enroll in another school. He was later accepted into a ‘second chance school’ but only lasted 4 months before he was dropped.

CAREER
Da Costa began making beats, rapping, and producing his own records at age 11. He was inspired by recording artists like Soulja Boy, Wiz Khalifa, Travis Scott and Chief Keef. Despite his enthusiasm for music, he never had the opportunity to share his work due to his living condition during his teenage years. Before releasing his own music, Da Costa managed his cousin. He developed his managerial skills and later embark on his own music career.

Djestice released his first song “Freakin” in May 2018. His second track “Pull Up” dropped in June 2018. Djestice kicked off 2019 with a new song titled “Tell Me.” It brought light to his name and helped him gain more followers. His debut mixtape, Unstable, was released in August 2019. It attracted more than 1 million streams on major platforms. The album featured production from JHall Beats, Kztheproducer, M1 DARTON, SCXTT, Sean Ross, and Tyron. The tracklist includes “STABBED!”, “Fake Friends” and “I Still Love You.”
