ORIGIN
D.Beezy is an American rapper, recording artist, and songwriter. He was born Dustin Trent Bailey on November 8, 1989, in Dyersburg, Tennessee. His parents are Steve and Sherry Bailey. He has one sibling, Kelly Bailey. D.Beezy spent his early childhood in the city of Dyersburg. He spent most of his teen years in Dyer County and attended Dyer County High School followed by a brief enrollment at The Tennessee School Of Applied Technology. He later would drop out to move to Knoxville, Tennessee where he currently resides.

CAREER
In 2008, D.Beezy graduated High School and began making music. It wouldn’t be until 2009 when he recorded “State Bound” which was used as the entrance song for his high school basketball team. That’s when the D.Beezy name began to buzz. He would go on to make the team basketball run-out song with a few football tracks for the next 6 years. However, the school athletic director would ultimately shut it down due to disagreements and an altercation between the two.

D.Beezy released his self-titled mixtape ‘D.Beezy’ on DatPiff in 2009. Realizing that mixtapes and albums weren’t beneficial to him independently, he then began to release singles. After a 7 year run, D.Beezy slowed down for about a year for personal reasons before learning how to market his sound. He jumped back into the music scene at the beginning of 2019 with his song “Right Now” which landed him a VEVO channel when the video was released.

D.Beezy has been featured in The Hype Magazine, Medium, BuzzFeed, and even on the front page of The State Gazette. In 2012, he opened for the likes of Yo Gotti, Paul Wall, Juicy J, and DJ Paul. D.Beezy performed at his first music festival ‘Depot Days’ in his hometown of Newbern, Tennessee, which turned out to be a bigger show than expected. It resulted in the mayor personally invite him back year after year and D.Beezy being the only performer getting paid to show up.

Accredited to most of his career and present career as an independent artist, D.Beezy has accomplished a lot while only releasing singles. From being verified on Facebook, Spotify, Apple Music, Genius, Shazam, and Google to now having a verified Pandora Radio Station.
