Cometan Is Alive

ORIGIN
Cometan is the British philosopher and author famous for founding the religion of Astronism and for leading the 21st-century revival and organization of astronomical religions, a collection of religions practiced yet also long-persecuted and undermined since the Stone Age. An incredibly deep contemplative, Cometan dedicated his life from the age of fifteen to the development and subsequent dissemination of the beliefs of Astronism and has also shared his ambitions for the reascension of philosophy in society whereby the role and identity of philosophers would become redefined and dramatically more centralized.

Inspired by the lives of Ancient Greek philosophers and the legendary religious figures immortalized in history, Cometan saw that the world was in need of a rejuvenated spirituality, but one that was based not on a singular person, but on something all people can relate to; the stars, the cosmos, the universe. Cometan came to see The Cosmos as a spiritual entity and considers the existential destiny of humans to explore space and to discover the many astronomical mysteries that still perplex many of our greatest minds. Cometan was the first person to advocate for human space exploration on religious grounds and Cometan remains one of the young religious figures in history as he began his commitment to Astronism from the age of fifteen and thereafter, Astronism has moulded his identity, his message to the world, and his legend.

CAREER
Cometan’s public life began at the age of fifteen when he received his first revelation to become an author after which he quickly started experimenting with his writing ability. From the day of his fifteenth birthday, Cometan knew that he wanted to create a mystery detective character who followed a new philosophy or way of thinking and living. The character became known as Jesse Millette, a British young man living in London, and the philosophy he followed developed into what is now known as Astronism.

Although Cometan had started out writing fiction, his interest in religion and philosophy deepened as his revelations intensified during his later teenage years. He became a prodigy of these subjects, able to write extensively about them without any formal training. Cometan began writing the founding text of Astronism from the age of seventeen and he named it the Omnidoxy. The Omnidoxy grew to become history’s longest religious book and introduced thousands of new beliefs, words, and ideas and it is for his sole authorship of this 2 million words long book during his teenage years that Cometan is considered to be a surographer, a person with miraculous or preternatural writing ability.

Cometan experienced a series of revelations, or indrucies, from the age of fifteen that informed his ability to think beyond on a scale that few others had. He saw that a tradition of religion had been long-persecuted and undermined and he organized and named this tradition to become known as the Astronic tradition which would come to sit alongside the Abrahamic and Dharmic religious traditions. The Astronic religions include astronomical religions that have been practiced since the Stone Age and it is these religions that Astronism draws its lineage and heritage from.

Cometan’s religious works came to inform his fictional writing which culminated in the development of the Spacefaring World franchise and book series in which Jesse Millette became a significant character. Cometan dedicated his life to the development of these two aspects of his creativity both in the non-fiction and fiction categories and he also dedicated himself from a young age to living a very public life under the spotlight and being a figure facing constant scrutiny.

PERSONAL
Cometan’s parents separated when he was four years old. This event had a huge impact on the trajectory of his childhood and arguably, the rest of his life. His two sets of grandparents came in to fill the void of a mother and father who hated one another and Cometan soon found himself spending a lot of his time with his paternal grandmother, Irene Mary Taylor, a devout Roman Catholic. For this reason, Cometan’s childhood was highly religious and although he didn’t pay much attention to religion during his childhood, this must-have affected him somehow because he went on to become one of the most famous modern religious figures in the world today.

After his parents remarried, his father and his stepmother had five children (Kieran, Kent, Zara, Jay, and Edie), and his mother and stepfather had one girl named Charlotte Sophia. This brought the name of Cometan’s siblings up to seven as he already had one older sister named Lucia Natalie who had been born during his mother’s first marriage. Cometan was originally Roman Catholic but changed to Astronist when he was fifteen years old as Astronism was the religion he founded. On top of going out hiking with friends and family and playing the piano (which he had done since he was eleven years old), Cometan’s favorite pastime is stargazing which he also considers a spiritual act.
