Charisma Mufasa is an American rapper. His debut single “Papercuts” dropped in Summer 2017. He followed up with the Lionhearted EP in January 2018. Mufasa was born Jonathan Querisma on February 5, 1993, in East Atlanta, Georgia. His mother struggled with drug addiction and as a result, he was raised by his grandmother in Florida. Mufasa clung to music and sports growing up. He was a 3-star national recruit as a cornerback at Walton Senior High. CAREER
Mufasa was a nationally ranked football recruit coming out of high school. He attended Troy University where he excelled at football and track. Mufasa declared for the 2014 NFL Draft after he withdrew himself from school following a brawl on campus. He was accused of being armed during the incident but was later cleared of all allegations. Mufasa tried out with the Miami Dolphins and the Jacksonville Jaguars. He also tried out with a practice squad in the Canadian Football League (CFL). He turned to rap shortly after he was released.

Charisma Mufasa entered the rap scene dropping his first single “Papercuts.” The track featured guest vocals from Young Scooter. In January 2018 Mufasa dropped his debut EP, Lionhearted. The 6-tracked project included songs like “Intentions”, “Hard”, “Too Much to Lose” and “By Any Means.” An official video for Hard was released in March 2018. It was shot by DREFILMS. Mufasa has opened on road shows for artists life YFN Lucci. He has also worked with Blac Chyna, Migo Domingo, Kap G, Migos and Young Dolph among others.

On November 25, 2018, Charisma Mufasa was robbed and shot 5 times by three men at Grant Park in Atlanta, Georgia. According to reports, the first male approached him with a gun demanding cash. Mufasa stood his ground, which led to the other 2 men attacking him and ultimately shooting him down. He was struck in his arms and legs.
