Brandon Flynn is an American television actor. He’s best known for his starring role as “Justin Foley” on the Netflix drama series 13 Reasons Why. His credits also include BrainDead (2016) and Home Movies (2017). Flynn was born on October 11, 1993, in Miami, Florida. His mother’s name is Debbie. He has two sisters, Danielle, and Jaime. Flynn attended the public magnet high school New World School of the Arts in Downtown Miami. He continued his studies at the Mason Gross School of the Arts at Rutgers University in New Jersey. He graduated in 2016 with a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts.

Flynn made his stage debut at age 10 in a musical production of Peter Pan. He was cast as “Mr. Smee”, Captain Hook’s bo’sun. In 2015, he was cast as “Luke” in the Off-Broadway production of Kid Victory. The role of Luke was reprised at the Vineyard Theatre in 2017. His stage credits also include The Poet and the Rent, Much Ado About Nothing, and The Crucible. Flynn had a small role as Mike the intern on the CBS comedy-drama series BrainDead. The show was created by Robert King and Michelle King. The main cast includes Mary Elizabeth Winstead, Danny Pino, Aaron Tveit, and Tony Shalhoub. The series was canceled after one season (13 episodes).
Flynn landed his breakout role as “Justin Foley” on the Netflix drama-mystery series 13 Reasons Why. The show is based on Jay Asher’s 2007 young adult novel of the same name. It stars Dylan Minnette, Katherine Langford, Christian Navarro and Alisha Boe among others. Season 1 (13 episodes) premiered on Netflix on March 31, 2017.
