ORIGIN
JaKealon Amaru Chase, known professionally as “Amaru Son,” is an American rapper, singer, songwriter, producer, and engineer from Missouri. He hails from Midwest Kansas City, a talented and culturally rich sector that is heavily influenced by Japanese culture. From his stage name to albums and released songs, he incorporates Asian influences throughout every fabric of his work. With his mother being a jazz & RnB artist and having relatives that create music, it comes as no surprise that Amaru Son, too, would become fascinated with the art. Known as a multi-talented individual, his fresh, unique, and resounding voice produce resonating melodies, which he strategically manipulates to conquer all mainstream genres. Before Amaru’s musical endeavors, his life revolved around sports, specifically track and field. During 2015-16, while in college, Amaru realized that track and field was not his forte, and thus, he began searching for his strength.

CAREER
In early 2016, after forfeiting sports and his academic studies, Amaru Son felt dazed, confused, and subsequently, uncertain about what exactly he wanted to pursue as a career. While working at a popular gym, he stumbled upon a family member who informed him about an individual that creates his style of music and encouraged him to listen. Intrigued by the news, Amaru listened to the songs, liked what he heard, and asked his Connect to set up a studio meeting. The studio session proved fruitful as Amaru was now inspired to become an artist. With encouragement from his studio mates and mother, he was on the path to discovering his strength.

Since then, Amaru Son has been dominating with his creative music. On his solo EP “Part 1,” Amaru flaunts his rapping abilities, while on newer releases; he showcases his rage by singing. Amaru’s most noticeable track is called “Lost & Found,” a dynamic, melodic, and chill-style song that accumulated over 6 million streams worldwide and counting. The track provided the spark Amaru needed to elevate his career. As “Lost & Found” continues to break barriers, its reputation attracted the attention of several accomplished internet personalities. Amaru Son received recognition from top YouTubers, the likes of Tommy Craze, ImDontai, and Tink Cool, to name a few. He has established an international image across various musical platforms including YouTube, Spotify, SoundCloud, and Apple Music. For 2021, Amaru Son plans on collaborating with artists “Dax” and “Nessly.”
