Nick Carter is an American singer, songwriter and actor. He’s the youngest member of the pop band the Backstreet Boys. His solo albums include Now or Never (2002), I’m Taking Off (2011) and All American (2015). His acting credits include the series ‘House of Carters’, and the films The Hollow (2004) and Kill Speed (2010). Nickolas Gene Carter was born on January 28, 1980 in Jamestown, New York. His parents are Jane and Robert (d. 2017). He has three living siblings, Bobbie Jean, Angel, and Aaron Carter. His sister Leslie died from a drug overdose in 2012. It featured reggae singer Mr. Vegas on the track “Girls in the USA”. Carter collaborated with pop singer Jennifer Paige on the 2009 single “Beautiful Lie”. His sophomore album, I’m Taking Off, was released in Ma 2011 on the label Kaotic, Inc. It was led by the single “Just One Kiss”. His third album, All American, dropped in November 2015. It was supported by the singles “19 in 99”, “I Will Wait” and “Get Over Me” featuring Avril Lavigne. Carter’s first book, Facing the Music and Living to Talk About It, was published in 2013.
As for acting, Carter started out in commercials and school plays. He appeared as an uncredited extra in Edward Scissorhands (1990) starring Johnny Depp. Other early acting gigs include American Dreams, Sesame Street, Arthur, and 8 Simple Rules. Carter starred as “Brody” opposite Kevin Zegers in the teen horror film, The Hollow (2004). He appeared alongside his four siblings on the documentary/reality series ‘House of Carters’ (2006). He was cast as “Foreman” in the action film, Kill Speed (2010). Carter directed and acted in the short film, The Pendant (2010). He wrote and starred as “Jack” in the zombie-western, Dead 7 (2016).
