King Lil G is an American rapper/songwriter and head of the AK47Boyz. He was formerly known as Lil Gangster. He rose to prominence with songs like “Hopeless Boy”, “Grow Up”, “Welcome to L.A.”, “AK47” and “All In It”. His full-length projects include AK47Boyz (2014), 90’s Kid (2015) and Paint the City Blue (2018). Lil G was born Alex Gonzalez on July 30, 1986, in South Los Angeles. He has two older brothers. It was released by Double 9 Records. The tape included tracks like “Bangin’ On Em”, “Sending This Message” and “Black Cortez”. His LP, King Enemy, followed in May 2012. It featured guest appearances from Big Swiisha, Krypto, 2Tone, Mike Ness, David Ortiz and his son Baby Gunz.
King Lil G kicked off 2014 with the album, AK47Boyz, released by AK47 Boyz Records and MIH Entertainment. It was spearheaded by the single “Hopeless Boy” featuring David Ortiz. The official video for Hopeless Boy attracted more than 30 million views on YouTube. The album, 90’s Kid, was released in March 2015. It was supported by the singles “Grow Up” featuring Chikk. Lil G inked a recording contract with Del Records in 2016. His first project on the label, Lost in Smoke 2, followed in April 2016. It featured Tory Lanez on the track “MariWanna”, and Nipsey Hussle on “Dope”. Other guests artists include Young Drummer Boy, Baby Bash and Bun B. Lil G’s recent projects include Blessed By God (2017) and Paint the City Blue (2018). The latter was released on the Empire 47 label.
