James Woods is an American actor and producer. His film credits include Salvador (1986), Promise (1986), My Name Is Bill W. (1989) and Ghosts of Mississippi (1996). He lent his voice to the animated series ‘Hercules’ and to video games like ‘Grand Theft Auto’ and ‘Kingdom Hearts’. James Howard Woods was born on April 18, 1947 in Vernal, Utah. His father, Gail, was an army officer, and his mother, Martha, a daycare provider. He had a younger brother, Michael Jeffrey, who died of heart attack in 2006. Woods was raised in Warwick, Rhode Island, by his mother and by stepfather Thomas Dixon. He attended Pilgrim High School followed by Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
