Fats Domino was an American singer, songwriter and pianist. He was a Grammy Rock & Roll Hall of Famer with more than 110 million records sold. Domino was born Antoine Domino Jr. on February 26, 1928 in New Orleans, Louisiana. His parents were Antoine Caliste Domino and Marie-Donatille Gros. He was 1 of 9 children born into a musical family. Domino’s cover of “Blueberry Hill” was a major hit, selling more than 5 million copies between 1956 and 1957. He followed up with songs like “I’m Walkin'”, “Valley of Tears”, “It’s You I Love”, and “I Want to Walk You Home”. Domino released more than 50 albums throughout his career. He worked with labels like Imperial Records, ABC-Paramount, Sunset Records, and United Artists Records. He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1986, into the American Songwriters Hall of Fame in 1998, and into Rhythm and Blues Music Hall of Fame in 2016.
